will namco guncon for ps2 work with mame

I am thinking of using guncons from a ps2 for mame, will they run or is this a waste of money.  thanks

the guncon2 will work with mame and is a cheap way to go  tney are not the best guns but they do work    need wingun2pc drivers

mame works fine with Guncon2pc driver (http://xoomer.virgilio.it/guncon2) but unfortunately it has some problems with ORIGINAL guncon2 so If you plan to use an ORIGINAL guncon2 this topic should be of help to you :

ORIGINAL guncon2 can however be used with wingun driver under windows but this is not compatible with mame > 105 (but works with older versions) as long as I know.

CRT TV (or arcade monitor) is mandatory to use any guncon LIGHTGUN, but you can move to the CCD-GUNS (another technology) like EMS LCD TOP GUN that will allow you to use ANY kind of screen (CRTs, LCDs, PLASMA, projectors ... )

I have the two guncon2 that came with time crisis3,  the orange ones.  Do I just use the usb connection to hook them up and forget about the video cable.  I will try out your driver and see if it works.

Well Obviously no. It' won't work this way.

Oh great, I also bought the 2 orange Guncon2 with TC3.  They are not the best guns to buy? 

If I want to use an Arcade VGA and a WG D92000 monitor, will I still need to "build a circuit"?  If so, does anyone sell already built ones?  I heard Andy from Ultimarc was going to sell some, but there is nothing on his site.

then maybe I am misunderstanding the directions on the page.  I got confused looking at the circuit and how to build it, still am confused.  help please.
