Problem mounting TurboTwist spinner
« on: May 29, 2006, 06:21:26 am »
Im having a slight problem mouinting my TurboTwist spinner. Im using 1/2" MDF for my CP, and the shaft on the spinner doesnt seem to be long enough to go through the MDF and attach the plastic top of the spinner over the MDF. How is the spinner top surpposed to sit on top of the CP, right flat to the CP or so you can see narrow bottom part of the spiner top aswell??

It's designed for metal CP's ...... But you can rout the top surface of the panel to the depth of a mounting plate and mount the spinner on that, to get it to sit flush.

There are two(2) set screws on the weight of the turbo twist.  You will need an allen wrench to loosen them.

Loosen them and slide the shaft up to the height you need then re tighten them.

There are two(2) set screws on the weight of the turbo twist.  You will need an allen wrench to loosen them.

CAUTION:  Only loosen the set screw nearest the knob.

You can then adjust the length of the shaft to accomodate both metal and wood control panels.
