Picked up the X-Arcade Trackball today...
« on: April 06, 2006, 01:27:17 am »
So I grabbed the X-Arcade trackball today, thinking that if nothing else, it will tide me over until I get my new ipac, and suprisingly, I really really like it. But I could use some help from the experts out there who've been trackballing it for awhile... there are a LOT of adjustments in MAME for trackball settings, and while most of the games I've played (Millipede, Star Wars, Missile Command) work great, Marble Madness is really sluggish... can someone walk me through what the settings do and maybe hook me up with some specific settings to try out?

Also, other than the old Atari standbys, any trackball game suggestions?

Two of my current favorites...

Wacko
Quantum

For marble madness, you'll want to press 'tab' in game and go to 'analog settings' and crank up the X and Y sensitivity.  At least that's what I do.

Cabal is a fun track...especially if you got 2 tracks and a buddy.

In Marble Madness, you're supposed to spin the ball alot and build up momentum of your marble.
NO MORE!!
