Your repro ms pac with the 60-in-1 board doesn't have any buttons, so you only turned on the games that are joystick only.... But you still have Burgertime turned on.... How ya gonna Pepper with no buttons?

ms.pac has 2 buttons (p1 start, p2 start). Maybe he use this buttons for 1 or 2 buttons games that requires it.

When you hit the fire button on the main screen it goes into each games attract screen.  If you wire the fire buttons to P1 Start or P2 Start doesn't it get confused when you try and start a game?

Just picked up my 4th cab (after selling my collection in the 90's due to space issues).  Love the setup and you have inspired me. I have house with Living room (fancy?) and a family room. Wasted space as Im single, Living room had never seen people for more then 5 minutes in the whole time i lived there. When i started cab buying i put them in it. but its an odd room for um. I am moving them to the Family room and moving he TV to the living room.   err... not the point..  Seeing your setup has convinced me i may as well do the same, own the house, nobody can ---smurfette---.. why not, as i say yours inspired    very nice..  Wish i had as Iconic machines..

Neo-Geo (with a 151 cart)
Gauntlet Dark Legend (with Dark Legacy HD and roms so can swap)
Lethal Enforcers (with Leathal Enforcers board mounting in it too so can swap)

none are as nice as yours.. Neo is a DONKEY KONG that has seen much better days.. not worth restoring.. Leathal Enforcers is a DIG DUG that has been laminated with wood grain on sides (nice.. but horrid at same time) Gauntlet is a well abused KANGAROO cab..  Hard Driving is in pretty good shape.  None of may cabs are even close to showcase.. even the MAME it was built in the early mame days.. functional and thats it..

dang your setup is nice, hope i can point to it as inspiration in a few months and show mine off too. Just had to say as your really did  igve me a light bulb moment!  now if all may action figures wont get me laughed at!

note the question mark.. I'm old and remembering anything that matters doesn't happen anymore, I can tell you how fun it was finding a router bit to do the t-moulding. How there where no encoders but hagstrom? There where only about 30 projects on the examples page.. (sadly mine is gone, it was there 5+ years ago, but the wayback machine must not go back that far anymore). I had a frankenpanel before it was so harshly looked down on (my machine never really had a name, but On here in the examples it was mame-n-stien.. to go with that Frankenpanel. I "think" lucid (mine was based off his) website had been up about a year.. so I would guess then.. 97- maybe 02-03..  I only mentioned it as most Cabs back then where Flat black with T-moulding in some color. They are works of art now and those old ones where plain and functional (and beautiful in there own way back then).. I would love to do it over.. but time is harder to come by now days..

just looked my profile says feb 02, I came here for help building, so it must have been about then.  sorry rambling in somebody elses thread  ,  been cruising Ebay for stuff for walls since this thread inspired me.. down $200 already. AND!!!! the local arcade shop has a couple machines on EBAY and they are not charging first born for them.. to much.. but they are starting to understand the local market here is drying up.

First off, most cabs back then were marble contact paper covered. Secondly, if this pedestal inspires you, you have bigger issues to deal with.

the pride he has for making a room dedicated to this is what inspired me, I would be dang happy to have the setup he does. Again, inspired enough I plan to do the same with my Family room in my house, it will never be as nice as his, but the idea is there. 

Once again Awesome setup, and you have to admire the machines for being what they are, Faithful.

Why take jabs at someone just because their taste varies from your own or because they choose to spend their own money to obtain the things they want versus doing it themselves. 

What if a more established member bought a pristine turn key cab, should anyone be ridiculed for doing so if it is something they want? If someone bought Grif/Max's Revolution, Kong or Paperboy should they be ridiculed for doing so just because they could afford to buy it?

Regardless of opinion on the individual (which is not fair for anyone here to pass judgment) we should still respect when people share a passion for this hobby.

Elitist attitudes like this are what often detracts from all the wonderful information that is shared here, it's the best resource on the net for this hobby and that's all due to the members that make positive contributions.

Information was shared,  Kaneda freaked out at our opinions and advice...in the end, after pulling tooth and nail, he ended up with listening and the pedestal he got made for him has much improved.

Oh I read through that thread a while back, the guy was defensive but then several people were rude as well (regardless of the constructive intention).

Although, this forum is notorious for giving false praise to people that are just fishing for attention. I for one am happy to see those type of people get snapped into reality. It can't all be pats-on-the-head all the time. Otherwise we'll never evolve, or improve in our hobby.

Mal doesn't like the carpet, or the pedestal...that's fine, and it's his opinion. I don't see any forum rules being broken here. 

You say it's not fair to pass judgement, I say it is. That's why he posted the video, and the other thread asking opinions. For us to pass judgement. It is what it is...

Personally I'm of the same opinion, even dynamo pedestals are fugly to me. Wouldn't touch 'em with a 10 foot pole.
But I actually do like his carpet. I like bright colours (artist...go figure).

None taken. Appreciate the defense opt2not. I gotta say it, "2 wrongs dont make a right, but 2 Wrights make an airplane."  I should also say your original post is a prime example of something you should have PM'ed me instead of posting in a thread, but whats done is done. May I counter?

I said I didnt like his carpet, so I wouldnt want his set up. I'm not attacking him or his carpet in that statement.  Am I not allowed to not like it? Its just not my style.
I like my set up better because I did all my own work, am I not allowed to be a little prideful of what I've done? I tend to like projects people do with their own barehands, I don't see fault in that. Also, I dont mind projects that are made with kits. This is why I've helped Rick and Haruman with design issues and even taken MANY MANY MANY of my own hours to make artwork sets for their kits at no charge.  I even altered an art set for jmike recently for his project, again at no cost , to help someone who has a passion for the hobby. Even helped kurtcs by making a basic KI template for his project. What's Kaneda positive contribution for this hobby community?

I think friendly jabbing is socially acceptable, nothing hurtful was said.  Taking the high road? Not my style =)  Other than our banter, cant really see any thread crapping. To answer you earlier question, I dont really see me being negative towards ANY member for buying a ton of games, unless they act like Kaneda.
