  my son was using my xbox and now the dashboard doesn't come on anymore. it's an xecuter 2 chip. any ideas to what he may have done and how i can fix it? sorry to hijack your thread but i may be interested in yours so i'll PM you an offer

Most likely he updated live and it erased your dashboard.  Just re-install your dashboard and any apps that might have gotten un-installed and you should be good to go.
