I don't know anything about any of the lot of them, so I've got nothing to say one way or the other.

Well, as someone hoping for a more progressive, modern church, Ratzinger is, in effect, one of the most fundamentalist candidates available, so we're going to get doctrine fit for the middle ages instead of 2005. Oh well, maybe it'll turn more people away from organized religion and further into organized thought.
