I am making five of these for my poker table, but these could easily be used around the arcade machine as well. I did a full write of for a poker site, so I thought I would put it here as well. The vinyl, foam, and cup inserts were purchased at
www.yourautotrim.com. I purchased the stool at Harbor Freight, and the trim and plywood from Lowe's. Total cost of the project was under $40. I bought the stool for $7, the trim for about $5, the cup inserts for about $10, and the rest makes up the difference.
I didn't want to make anything permanent in the poker table, nor did I want anything to spill on the playing surface, so I decided to make something mobil. I decided to first cut 14" square boards out of 1/2" plywood. I then drilled out the cup area.
I then used some thin foam that I had lying around and some of the vinyl covering I used on the handrail of my poker table. I used super77 to adhere the foam, then I stapled down the vinyl.
I then busted out the $7 stool I bought at Harbor Freight. I bought five of these suckers:
I then joined up a piece of trim and quarter round. I wasn't overly pleased with that look, so for now it's loose. Here it is though so you can get the idea. Sorry if this is way out there, but I thought someone here might find it useful.
