WTB: Coin Box for a Ms Pacman upright
« on: March 30, 2005, 09:20:47 am »
Anyone have one of those black coin boxes that catch the quarters from a Ms. Pacman upright they would be willing to sell me?  Mine didn't come with one.

There are pictures from people selling them on ebay if you want to see what one looks like.  I know i could probably get one off of ebay, but I would rather get one from one of you guys if anyone has an extra one laying around.  I figure with all the people converting cabs and stuff, someone's gotta have one laying around that they aren't using anymore...thanks!

Hmm, to my knowledge they do not have lids.

Here's a picture of one i found on ebay.  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13718&item=6147636110&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V

That particular one seems way overpriced by the time shipping was included.  I was hoping to find someone that would be willing to part with theirs if they just had it laying around as opposed to trying to make money like most ebay'ers do.

I don't NEED one, but it'd certainly make my game more complete if i could find one....thanks

They came from the factory with a steel lid that slides over the lip of the coin box. Notice the metal hooks near the front to that coin box. The lid is supposed to bump right up against that. You may also notice a steel tab inside of your Ms. Pacman cabinet that seems to have no useful purpose. That is for a secondary padlock to keep thieves from wrecking your coin door and making off with your loot (this should not be a problem if you have the game in your home).

If that org. is asking a whopping 20$ for the coin box, it should come with the lid. If you are going to pay that kind of cash for a plastic bucket, make sure it comes complete.

Is there another style? I have a white plastic one, shaped a bit differently that I am fairly sure I pulled out of a Pac-Cab.

Well, i thought 20.00 +10.00 shipping seemed a little high, that's why i was hoping someone here would have one....either with or without the lid, that doesn't matter.  All that i've seen on ebay had no lid, so that's the first i've heard of one that comes with a lid, but it makes sense after looking at the extra brackets.

The third pic is what you are looking for (I think).

It's mine.  The only problem is that they are at my parents place in Jersay so if you still want it, I'll have to call my father and act really sweet and nice to get him to box it up and ship it.

Let me know...  send a PM.
