multigame jamma pcb
cornbread:
I have noticed that some sites are selling multigame jamma pcb's they let you pic some games from a list of games that you want. How do they do this and watch kind of equipment do you have to have to do it. Where can you purchase this equipment. I would love to be able to do this for myself
paigeoliver:
You should rephrase your question. I read it several times and I can't figure out what you are asking, unless you are asking how to manufacture your own Jamma boards?
Or are talking about reprogramming them yourself? Well all those 3 in 1, 4 in 1, 9 in 1, and 39 in 1 boards are the exact same board. I find it especially arrogant that they charge 3 times as much for the 39 in 1 board when it is actually cheaper for them to make (they are all the SAME THING, but the 39 in 1 has no user choice on the games so there is no labor involved in putting the exact games the customer wants on it).
Arcadeshop sells a similar programmable board, which you CAN program yourself with a serial cable. The list of games it supports isn't very impressive though.

yeah I am interested in doing my own 3-1 4-1 9-1 39-1 jamma board and I was curious how these are made and what kinda equipment would i have to have

You would need a PCB fabrication facility (think 50 million +), or you would have to design your own board and have it made (this would ALSO cost a fortune).
Or if you are a fairly talented programmer then you could simply buy one of the arcadeshop boards, dump the rom image and figure out how to reprogram it to do whatever you want.
Note, none of those are easy tasks.

Paigeoliver I thought about ordering a 39 in 1 pcb but I wanted to get your thoughts on it first. Are they reliable? How much do they cost? And where do you order them from?
