Squished picture problem.

Hey guys just got a new cabinet (Run and Gun 2) and its all good except that the picture is squished.

Ken Layton:

If adjusting vertical size/height and the 50/60 hz pot doesn't help then your monitor probably needs a capkit.

slicer_d:

Yeah figured it might be that.  A couple more things I only have 5 video wires running to the board R,G,B, Hsync, and Ground should I have a Vsync or is it carried on one of the other wires?

One more question.  Do I have a vertical size problem or horizontal size problem? The screen in horizontal and there are 2-3" gaps at the top and bottom.

Ken Layton:

Monitor problems are described just like the way a normal tv set would be watched so you have a vertical problem if the top/bottom are affected.

Your monitor's video/sync input is wired correctly. Not every monitor nor gameboard needs the vertical sync hooked up.

So i guess I need to do the cap kit then I was looking through bob roberts site and he has cap kits of K7000's and mine is a k7191 so is that the kit I should get?

Also I was reading around about vertical output transistors going bad and causing similar problems to what I have should I replace those as well?

Oh and thanks for the help guys (guys = Ken)
