Okay, that fixed the folder problem.

I have a couple problems now.

The FE will terminate if there are no snaps in the snapshot directory. I tried blanking out that parameter in atomicmanager but that didn't work.

I got a crash when the game list scrolled for the first time, using the standard russ_space skin. It's repeatable, what do I need to do to create a log file?

The "Exit AtomicManager?" dialog still gives "Annuler" instead of "Cancel".

Using the "template" skin, the FE terminates if there are no marquees in the marquee folder.

If you change a directory using atomicmanager, the current folder should be set to the same directory instead of to My Documents.

The game list sometimes skips keypresses.

ALT-Tab behaves well except that the FE should change the screen resolution back to what it was before the FE launched when application focus is lost, then restore it to the skin resolution when focus is restored.

EDIT: I forgot to add..... Don't use one folder for roms. Many people, myself included, use several folders. Have an option to use a rom path (maybe an "advanced option").

I have changed my nickname to "Cakemeister". Please do not PM the Buddabing account because I do not check it anymore.

Please read the wiki!

I get an xvidcore.dll error before it even starts.  Any ideas?

Hi Buddabing,

Thank for your report.

In generals rules , to use a layout which display snap if you don't have snaps.
But to workaround this probleme. Create a Snap folder on your drive and put a .PNG file inside. (even if it is a TXT file renamed .PNG).  then it should solve your probleme.  I'm going to do something on the next version to avoid this behavior. But when Atomic terminates, it says it is because there is no snap in your folder.

For the crash you have.  Try to delete  *.mem files you can find in your atomic folder . Theses files saves position selection in the list when you exit atomic.  And if you change the configuration , sometimes you can have a crash.
Typically, you create a configuration which display 100 roms , the selection is on the 25th when you exit atomic.  then you modify your configuration and your new config only display 20 roms in the list. Atomic try to select the 25th... but it is not here.. and you got a crash.  I will try to fix that.

If you have multiple roms folder, you need to do Multiple configuration that you can select with the on Fly conf selection.  one configuration point on each folder.
But i will think about the "rom paths".

Concerning Xvidcore.dll ,  Are you sure you are using Atomic FE?  I don't use that DLL, and it even not in the dependency list of Atomic.exe.
May be you have something wrong in your windows installation or DirectX.  Atomic requires DirectX 7 or above.

cheers,

Youki
