Building gameroom in my basement - ideas?

Hoagie_one:
Run a dedicated power line to the game room outlets from teh fuse box

namedos:
Cable hook ups for your TV feed.  Depending on how well planned out you have your room you may want some electrical outlets up near the ceiling for things like neon lights (beer, etc.) and your dartboard.

What about a small recessed closet to hide things in like modular CP or other accessories?  Fairly easy to add with a pocket door.   That could be part of one wall and you could finish the area with a bar?

Our bonus room we wired the lights on two different lines so I could have half of them on or all of them and added a dimmer.

I agree with Hoagie that a dedicated electrical line would be a good idea.

Hoagie_one:
My house is wired stupidly.  Thats why i mention it.  I got rooms upstairs on the same circuit as my basement washing machine....stupid 1950's builders.

Stingray:
I agree with the suggestions regarding electricity. Given the hobby that we all share you can never have too much juice.

A recliner and a kegerator would be keen.

Mine is like that too... built in '54.  At least my washing machine is on its own circuit, though, as that line was definitely installed much later.
