We have to get rid of over 100 imperfect marquees that are just taking up space. We ship only high quality marquees, so these didn't meet quality control and were left behind for one reason or another.

I would never bid on anything I haven't seen first.

I realize 100 marquees is alot to photograph individually, but at least lay them all out on the floor and take some group shots.

Some are personalized - I'm pretty sure there are no Dick's Arcade marquees though

Pictures of each lot will be posted in the auction soon. I have to figure out how to separate the lots to high bidders without re-listing. Random lots go to random bidders?

BTW, every lot contains at least one very good marquee that was just printed to the incorrect dimensions and basically has nothing else wrong with it. That's like getting one marquee for less than the price of a regular marquee, and then 9 marquees for nothing - ca' mannnnnn!

I'm curious Emdkay, How many of the imperfections were the result of the customer's own mistakes and stupidity? (I'm guessing alot of them. ;-D)

ehh some are from customer mistakes converting fractions to decimals incorrectly, undercompensating for a marquee retainer, etc. Some are from a finicky printer spitting out messed up colors.

hey cooter nice find! There's a perfect pac-man marquee in that lot too - customer return, no problems at all.

Some have incorrect color hues or have errors that you might not be able to see from the pictures. Most are pretty decent.

I'm in for lot C... I only need the ones with the lens flares or the Tron-style, so I can split the character or mini-marquees with others. Emdkay, I'm sure you don't want to measure them all, but are any of these in Lot C likely to be at least 23" by 8"?

hey chris, here's some very quick (not super accurate) measurements of lot C. these are the viewable dimensions not counting the white borders:

collage: 26 1/4" x 6 1/4"
collage: 25 3/4" x 7 3/4"
nebula: 26 3/4" x 7"
classic: 25 3/4" x 7 3/4"
classic: 25 3/4" x 8"
nebula: 25 3/4" x 6 3/4"
galaxy: 22 1/4" x 7 2/3"
classic: 25 3/4" x 7 2/3"
classic: 25 3/4" x 7 2/3"
tron: 25 7/8" x 7 3/4"

I'm not going to give measurements and imperfections on all lots.. .

but in this particular lot, here are the imperfections:

- collage marquee, some colors appear very light
- tron marquee, white ink about 1/32" x 1/32" on the second "M" in Mame. it's not very large, but noticeable. this marquee was also cut askew
- classic marquee, creases
- classic, missing red color hues
- galaxy, printing ended abruptly
- nebula, 1/4" x 1/64" black ink smear under the "A" in Mame
- classic, test run - low resolution
- classic, small black ink dots across bottom
- nebula, scratches
- collage, test run - low resolution

Nobody wants lot J yet?

There's a near perfect Woody marquee in that lot - I'm not even sure what's wrong with it - it might just be printed to an incorrect size. Also that Namco Classics Vol 2 is perfect except for a 5 1/4" horizontal line about 1/64th thick.

There is only 2 people that I know of that use that Marquee. The Guy who designed it and myself when I ask him if I could use it.

It's cut askew and didn't want to send it to you like that. You probably wouldn't have even noticed.

I don't know if the person who won that is on here - you might want to contact him through eBay since that lot shipped already.

..and that's exactly what was wrong with the marquee - those areas came out pink instead of red.
