QUANTUM CAB
« on: December 03, 2004, 10:33:44 pm »
Hey guys, I've had this real cool Jamma Cab in my basement for the last couple of months and never knew what the sideart was. Well I was surfing E-bay and come to find out it is a Quantum Cab!!!! Wow! I found out that only about 500 of these where made.

Here is my question: What should I do with this? Should I buy a marquee and CP overlay, add a trackball and a computer. Or just leave it as is? Or sell it so someone that has the cash to restore it?
I never thought I'd own an arcade machine. Now I have 4!!!

Where are you located?  I know a guy that's been wanting to complete his Quantum for years.  He has everything BUT the cabinet.

List it on ebay dude, it will SELL SELL SELL. You can even gut it out and list it empty. Quantum is one of the few empty cabinets that is worth anything.

Wow, I wonder what the attraction is, other than low production run?

It doesn't seem all that amazing.  :-\

It isn't all that hot really, but collectors really go after low production laserdisc and vector games, no matter how much they suck.

I didn't say it SUCKED, I just said they go after the low production vectors no matter how much they suck.

It is a middle of the road game. not too hot, not too sucky. It would be a $250 game is it wasn't vector.

Honestly?  Not a whole lot, it's an empty cabinet.  You'd have to have the whole Quantum setup to make it truely worth something.
