Joystick/Button Questions
« on: November 29, 2004, 10:25:47 pm »
I have recently got my cab up and running - http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=26945.0

I have a few questions ...

1) With my modular CP setup - I have 2 P360s.

If you are running the 5v from an IPAC, you might want to run them from your PC power supply instead. Find one or 2 of the red  wires in the unused molex connectors, make them longer, and hook the P360's up from there. That should not give you any drop in voltage whatsoever. JUST DOUBLE CHECK THAT THE 5V WIRE IS THE RED ONE! IT IS LATE HERE! (Don't want you to screw anything up cuz of me that's all :)

As for the keys mapped as shift, alt, etc, just make sure that you do not pause the game to redefine the keys, do it while it is running. I do not know why the Ipac doesn't like this, but it just doesn't. (This one drove me NUTS for a while.) On a side note, you might want to set the T&F buttons as the lower ones anyways, since you won't bump your hand against the joysticks when you are mashing them buttons.

Hope this helps, and DOUBLE CHECK THE RED WIRE DANGIT! Thanks :)

This is a MAME problem, not an I-PAC problem.

I will have to give the "NO Pause" button settings a try.
