Not sure if this helps, but I"ve loaded XP on a couple of Dell OptiPlex GXa's....They are PII233 with 256 of memory and it runs surprisingly well. I put an earlier version of SK Jukebox (2.6.1 I think) and it played well, the only noticeable difference was that the key response times SEEMED a little slower (ie I hit the right key and it seemed to have a SLIGHT delay. I think I saw this for all inputs, volume, song input, etc. Not sure, it was just an experiment on an older PC). The music played fine. Hope that helps.....

I am using a compaq motherboard 500mhz amd k62 processor with 256 ram shared 8mb video ram was with windows xp and when i have a song playing and move the album covers across the screen you can hear it mess up the music playing and makes it a touch garbled or hesitation etc. in the sound.
Any suggestions to improve performance, like add a better viceo card other than buying a new motherboard.

What I have in my juke is a P3 800, with 3 * 128 RAM sticks. Using the on-board video gives awful performance (think it's only 4mb, from memory), so I stuck in a 128mb AGP and it works like a charm. A 64mb card would more than likely give similar gains, but with the CPU almost half the speed of what's in mine, a 128 would be much better, IMO. Failing that, CPU would be the next thing I'd look at.

Hey, this program is great!!!! I have tried it out on my main computer and it runs like a dream. I have just built up my "ex main" machine to use as a jukebox but I can't get SK to run. It gives me a splash screen followed by the error message "Run-time error '-2147417848(80010108): Automation error. The object invoked has disconnected from its clients.
Any thoughts on this? I so much want to get it running

Did you install the VB Runtimes from the bottom link in the Downloads section? If you did, I will compile a debug version to figure out exactly what it's bombing out on.
