PS2 USB Keyboard Question
« on: September 23, 2004, 03:39:12 pm »
Was browsing in a local EB and noticed this :  http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/242533.asp .  It's about the size of those mini rackmount keyboards and seems tailor made as an arcade cabinet keyboard.  Now I'm cheap and not willing to part with $20 to see if it will work with a windows box and wanted to ask the board if anyone had tried one of these with a PC.  Any word?

its a standard usb keyboard.  the reason it is so small is because it was actually designed as a two piece keyboard controller:

the playstation 2 uses the standard keyboard protocol as its driver so any usb keyboard that complies with the standard works in a playstation 2, which also means it will work with a pc.  that being said, you may be able to find a mini-keyboard cheaper..
