It costs 1988 Chinese Yuan which is roughly $240 for the 20g version on the site, which says that is a bit expensive.  If you want to go by the 40g is twice as big as 20g idea, $499 would be the "right" price.  For my money though, it's just a 40gig laptop hard drive in an external enclosure.... not worth anything near 400 or 500 dollars, but that's just my .02

Assuming per chance that you are on the level .... what possessed you to offer this product on the BYOAC forum? Was it perhaps the novelty of a free classified ad that sparked this mad rush to dump your product on our community.

For the record, there's nothing wrong with trying to make a good sell ... hey , all of us have something to offer ,right? My problem is this...I doubt very seriously you have anything to offer this community other than your hi-tech paperweight. Not to mention, your first post ... as with many others before ... your first post was directed at a sell ... BAH !!

Usually a new member enters the room, says hello ... ask a few questions ,and learns from others. Well for the record.... I dont "wanted."  Nor do I "want" your product.  It seems very useless. I'd much rather get an external hard drive, or an actual media player with a screen like those coming from Creative, Sony, Microsoft... depending on my needs.  I could actually get both of those for $400-500, but that is not even my point.

One note though, as a third year Business student, I urge you to get better shipping rates.  It should not cost you anywhere near $30 PER UNIT to get those to the US.  That's the beauty of bulk buys and wholesale purchases.... merchant discounts and one time shipping costs.  The size of this product means that you can ship thousands per container, and if your company truly is pursuing a partnership with CDW, that should be well within your means.

You can sell your product for whatever you'd like, I was not really attacking your price.  I was giving people here informationg on your "mystery" product... something you should have done in your first post.  And it was not only me who said it was expensive, but the chinese review site that I got the info from.  Apparently, its seen as expensive even before all that US tax, cost of business,  and shipping cost.

The ipod is an actual portable music/media player as well as a portable hard drive.  Your product doesn't even have headphones or a screen.  So your "music player" needs to be hooked up to a stereo, and your "video player" has to be hooked up to a tv or monitor.

Let's call a spade a spade here.... you're selling an external hard drive.

My friend I think "expensive" is to chinese who makes $1000/month, not american. in china everything is 7 times cheaper except item like this use a lot of japaness and foreign parts. CDW would not need a container of it. if I buy a container, it would cost me 300*50000 = US$15million. I don't think it is "cheap" for my company.  Do you know how much an ipod 40G asking? I found 1 place apen is selling for 90 pound. that is $150 +Harddisk is about $300 also.
but aopen is connected Harddisk from outcase, not incase. it is much bigger in size, twice bigger! and need two pieces of equipments. The rest is very similar functional wise.
