IE Crashing immediately after posting to this forum?

(1/2) > >>

MonitorGuru:
Has anyone else had this problem?  I've seen it on two different systems, one at home and one at work.  Home is XP Pro, work is Windows Server 2003 and all have the latest required updates.

When I click POST, IE locks and then has a "send to microsoft" error dialog.  My post actually goes through, but IE crashes before redrawing the screen after the post/reply.

Does anyone else have this problem?  I havn't run into it on any other forum, though most others don't run this particular software.

I once got SO fed up with Microsoft's crappy browser that I tried Mozilla FireFox, it was so great I have'nt looked back since.

And it's free!

It's solid, feature rich, fast, resistant to malicious code and pop-ups, I simply can't recommend it enough.

Not to mention historically Microsoft's IE browser was only 'bolted on' to Windows because Netscape was winning the browser war, it was rushed and buggy since it's inception, it was another of Microsoft's tricky tactics to ensure total monopoly.

It's as melevolent as it is true, read about it here :

For me switching to Firefox web browser was like stepping out of a 1984 Ford Escort and stepping into 2000 Toyota Celica, try it out, you'll dig it :)

Groovy?

Hehe... there is nothing 'religious' about it :)   Firefox simply blows IE out of the water.  You should try it.

Goz:
 Firefox rocks.

As for the IE prob, try dropping your cookies and posting again. Chances are you have a corrupt  cookie. If this doesn't solve it, tru the next std IE trouble shooting step: delete temp internet files and try again.

Hope it helps...
