Tempest Dimensions
« on: June 15, 2004, 06:28:00 pm »
Just a quick question for anyone with a real Tempest cabinet.

What is the inside width (not including the side panels)?  Any other dimensions would be appreciated, but this is the main one I want to know right now.  I have a blueprint that says it is 28", but I don't know if the blueprint is the actual dimensions, or if it is intended to make a "Tempest-like" cabinet.

I'd like to know the actual size of an original cab.

28" ??
Maybe with a 25in monitor in it  :)
I went to measure mine and its 23 3/4" width (no side panels)
and a hair under 25 1/2" with sides.
Hope that helps

Yeah, I thought 28" sounded fishy.

Thanks for the info.  It helps a lot!

This is correct, I've measured and re-measured many times working with mine

Yeah, that's the drawing I was looking at, and the dimensions are wrong.  Those are the blueprints for building a Tempest-like cabinet.  I am interested in the dimensions of an actual cabinet.

I can dig it, it even says on the website that those plans are modified for MAME use, I simply posted it for those who open this thread looking for tempest measurents
