If you can find a BGA rework company to replace it, I'll sell it to you at cost since i have no intentions of ever tackling that project again, lol.

should anyone be interested in taking on this kind of endeavor, i would recommend contacting either a company that advertises repairing xboxes and playstations... (someone specifically who can repair such things as the red/yellow ring/light of death on these machines) ... or a macbook repair kind of place.

typically these guys will remove and reball the CPU's and GPU chips and re-apply them back onto the board. you may be able to get one of these kinds of companies to do the work for you.

I found a site call game room guys that still sells the unit and on their "Services" page they mentioned that even if you didn't purchase from them they will refer you to qualified technicians in your area if they have the info. I will give them a call to see what they can do. I will post any valuable/helpful information from them here if I receive any in case anyone in my situation might be looking for assistance. You forum guys are awesome  :notworthy:

Hey mahkeymike. I have no idea what board I have to be honest and tried checking but couldn't find any info in the unit. I attached two photos to see if maybe you are familiar with it and can figure out which one it is. Or if you can direct me further on where to find the info I will certainly do my best. If it is the GPU, which I strongly believe it is, I would want to be sure it is and would gladly take it off your hands. Thank you for your offer.

Megatouchmike:
It's a jp90. These boards don't typically go bad. Would recommend removing motherboard and testing with a known good desktop computer power supply and monitor. See if you get video. Also replace the ram if you haven't already

Megatouchmike, Thank you for the recommendation. I love tinkering with stuff but will need any direction you can give me if you are familiar with the unit. It would probably be best for me to familiarize myself with it since it's basically obsolete and there is no support for it out there. I am guessing the red board is the motherboard and the memory will be located in the silver CPU looking unit in the other photo, correct? I did read somewhere that someone recommended replacing the ram so I would like to try that first. Thanks in advance if you are able to guide me a bit.

Megatouchmike:
The motherboard is in the silver chassis. The memory is on the motherboard
