Yeah, it absorbs sound inside the sub box to allow for a deeper, cleaner bass.  :)

Will you be doing that here?

Curious to see what your complete speaker arrangement will be.
I still can't make up my mind what to do for mine as regards them, i.e. how many, what size and where they should go.

Bobbie...you will have a lot to fit into your cabinet.  You probably need the inside dimensions of the cabinet first if you are building it to scale, and then choosing your components accordingly.  Good speakers circa year 2000 should be very cheap for great quality. Very few want them anymore.  They don't understand what they are losing.  If you are going to lay down a good amount of cash for one item, make it the amp.  Cheers, Paul.
