Access to CNC in New Engand/ NE US??
«

I am having a hell of a time finding a shop that will take a small job to cut out parts of a cabinet for me. Anyone know of anyone they can put me in touch with in CT, RI, Western MA, or the Hudson Valley, NY area?
Thanks in advance.

Everyone in construction that I know is so busy that it isn't a surprise sadly.
Aren't there probably 50 cabinet shops just in southern CT?
You would think all the guys too big/too busy could refer you to somebody.

Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools! I can fix it.

You can build your own CNC machine!
mechmate.com/forums
Actually one of the senior members on that forum is located in Somerville, Mass - not sure if that is close to you.
Edit - I checked and it's a suburb of Boston
He has a CNC machine he built that is big enough to cut out entire cabinets. If you join the forum and send him a pm I'm sure he would reply. If he's still active, that is.

Wow, that mechmate forum is some long term grade A drama. I clicked around and was intrigued so I googled “mechmate BOM.”
