I don't think they can ruin classic gaming simply by putting it in a bad container. The Jakks handhelds have been inferior for years and despite giving people bad emulation, bad visuals, etc - enthusiasm for classics just continued to grow.
I do think this is a super niche product that only a few will actually like. I would've never made it. It seems like a support nightmare.

That is EXACTLY how they are ruining it. ---smurfy--- cabs, ---smurfy--- controls and morons who defend them. Classic gaming isn't just the game itself, it's about beating the hell out of the machine every day by tons of people and going back for more the next day. It's about those cool tiny rectangle pixels on the screen in Pacman that you only get with a CRT. This project it on a screen and run a bunch of filters ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- takes away from the authenticity and game play. The weak ass controllers make you wanna go to a X-box controller because it handles better. Just total ---smurfing--- garbage. This website is probably the only place to find people who actually appreciate the hardware and the cabinet construction. Go over to reddit you get people pissed off because you diss their paper graphics filled melamine board rockchip/Pi piece of ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- setup that they dare call an arcade cabinet. It's pathetic as hell. Biggest mistake Saint ever made is creating a forum devoted to these piece of ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---, consumer rip offs.

I'm still a fan for what they are. Not all of them, like this one, are good. Tell me though, you were ok with them at one time - making tons of videos to help people navigate through the upgrade options. What has soured you on them so much?
I'm not an arcade1up fanboy, but I have used them and they work for me in the appropriate circumstances. Not real keen on being called a moron simply because I think the products are ok as long as you know what you're getting.

Wow, I have been on this forum for how many years now, and you still haven't figured it out? My son is a Pacman collector. He buys Pacman stuff religiously. Anything and everything, even an A1U cab (which he bought, not me, I paid for it for him because he has Autism, it was his money). I have several cabs all Pacman themed, the only reason I bought a piece of ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- A1U is to add to his Pacman collection, and I never even played it. Very first thing I did to it, as seen in all those videos, is put a PC inside and changed the monitor and control panel. And in those videos I also talk about how ---smurfy--- they are. When I do videos on them, it's not to cover the crap hardware inside, but it is to help others make the junk that they were suckered into buying even better.
