Yes it's the metal box with USB. There's a nut on top securing it to the case. It's easier to access the cables if you open it up from the front

I removed the nut, but I can’t get the metal box to separate from the bigger box behind it. Are the cables in back preventing that, or is there a metal tab somewhere latching it. Should I slide it up or down, forward or back? It feels like if I use much more force, it will break something.

By open it up from the front, do you mean take off front of machine? If so, is there an easy way to do that?

The little metal box with usb is not the computer unit, its the audio amp. You need to remove the big metal box. To open the front you need to unscrew i believe 4 nuts holding the monitor to the frame. Then there is a spring loaded hinge that alows the monotor to flip down so you can acerss the wiring behind the metal box.

I have the big metal box open - from the back - I couldn’t figure out where the nuts were to release the front screen. Where is this elusive cf card?
