Yes, poor Bernard! ;D Mind you, one of the things I appreciate about the series, that maybe some people don't see is that it reveals how much the Westminster system operates in 'grey' areas, not black and white. And that in fact, is a good thing because it has quite a remarkable flexibility. The absurdity is the comedy, but it is also about as good as it gets in a fair democracy. Oh, and by god, watching it again and seeing how Jim Hacker becomes Prime Minister, it really predicts Scott Morrison doesn't it? How they both 'Steven Bradbury-d' into power :laugh: |
