UPDATE: Actually it's no big deal. I just did it, monitor stays politely in place until you move it out. Over-caution never hurt anybody when dealing with CRTs, but this was a molehill, not a mountain.
Carry on...
----------------------------
I have a Kickman with a dead monitor, and need to pull the monitor to get it repaired. I've checked the manual and followed the steps right up to pulling the four bolts, but the way this thing is mounted worries me a bit. I'm afraid that when I do pull the last bolt, gravity is going to take over that big heavy chassis is going to slide right out and crash into the ground.
Anybody ever pulled one of these? I'm tempted to lay the cabinet on its side and then remove the bolts. Here's the manual illustration (this is a full size cab, not a "mini") and some pictures of the cab; I've already removed the bezel and front glass. As you'll see Kickman is a mirror game, the monitor actually points up at a mirror as opposed to being directly in the player's line of sight.
Appreciate any suggestions, and even more, any prior experience with this model.
(Yes, if this looks familiar, it's the same Kickman I got working many years ago; the monitor, an Electrohome G07, was left on overnight and died a few years back.)
