Power cord solution |

Mike A:
Most of my cabs have some kind of hackery in the power section. I have fixed anything that looked unsafe, but I have left the rest pretty much alone. For future projects how about using something like this? It involves less wiring in a compact unit. It also allows a detachable power cord. I am not an electrician. Can anyone see a problem with this unit? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk |
Titchgamer:
I cant make out the specs but as long as its rated for the correct current that should be sound. |
Mike A:
I didn't notice that screen grab is garbage. oops. I will post something better later. It just looks like a nice compact solution, particularly for new builds. |
Titchgamer:
Yeah it should be a nice all in one. |
PL1:
That datasheet is for an entire series of IEC power inlets that include a built-in EMI filter so they are about 4x more expensive than the ones you usually see linked here. Part number: FN 28x-yy-06 - x determines the mounting flanges and number of fuses -- 1 for top/bottom flanges and single fuse (shown in your screenshot) -- 3 for left/right flanges and single fuse -- 5 for snap-in and single fuse - yy is the current rating -- 6 for 6A -- 10 for 10A Last page of the datasheet has links to the part numbers.
