I originally intended on using the CF flash method as I mentioned before, However turns out that Site 4 does not play nice with CF cards so that went out of the window. I next looked into IDE SD card readers which are reported to work as long as they have a certain chip set, Which of course is now obsolete and unobtainable.... SOOOOO After some more digging a Guy over on the KLOV had used a IDE to SATA adapter and used a SATA SSD module to install the game on, So I tracked the bits down on Ebay and for the pricely sum of around £15 got the adapter and a 16gb module (Which are tiny!) and everything is now working great without the damn HDD whirling! Incase anyone is interested in doing the same in the future the adapter was just a standard IDE/SATA adapter and the module was a Apacer 16GB MLC SATA Module. --- End quote --- hows about pictures, details, and product links so I can do the same thing to my A51/MF |

Its just the site 4 board thats a awkward mofo! I never took any pics before plugging it in (not much point now its so small its lost in there!) But heres some links: Adapter: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F221012878864 SSD module: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F132677710159 But you can use one of these on 51 mf: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F302792109072 |

Was cleaning behind the glass this morning which gave me a better view of the HDD bit so here is the module installed (now fixed in place to the wood) |

Out of the back burner and back to life now the wedding is out of the way! So me and the new Mrs Titchgamer had a day together vinyl coating the cab and putting new T moulding in. So first off a bit of sanding and filling.... There was more damage but ya get the idea ime sure lol Next I cleaned the whole thing with isopropanol and then we started on the Pedestal and 1 side. Original plan was to 2 tone it black and the original Grey underneath a bit like this: However when we considered the Firey CP art we decided it wouldnt fit right so we ended up coating the whole thing. Neither of us had ever done any vinyl wrapping but we are both pleased with the results and we had some fun together. We made some mistakes along the way but nothing drastic. Sadly I couldn’t save the machine emptied over night sticker but I will get a new one to replace it as I liked that. Next job is CP, Bezel and side logo art. I am working on some custom side logos, Planing on using the original firey CP but not sure about the bezel yet.... |
