Small update for the day, The HDD has now been swapped out! I originally intended on using the CF flash method as I mentioned before, However turns out that Site 4 does not play nice with CF cards so that went out of the window. I next looked into IDE SD card readers which are reported to work as long as they have a certain chip set, Which of course is now obsolete and unobtainable.... SOOOOO After some more digging a Guy over on the KLOV had used a IDE to SATA adapter and used a SATA SSD module to install the game on, So I tracked the bits down on Ebay and for the pricely sum of around £15 got the adapter and a 16gb module (Which are tiny!) and everything is now working great without the damn HDD whirling! Incase anyone is interested in doing the same in the future the adapter was just a standard IDE/SATA adapter and the module was a Apacer 16GB MLC SATA Module. |
