  Just sent a PM to you.  Absolutely, I'll take you up on the overlay.  In my PM I said $12, but then I reread your post.  I too have expensive taste in beer, so shipping plus $20 sound good?

see, I'M confused because I don't see where  an overlay would interface to the controller besides that ribbon cable... and it goes to the other board. is there maybe another connector near where that ribbon cable plugs in where you could plug something in?

as with mike, XL is about as old as i've worked on... but nonetheless, there should be something from the monitor face (an overlay) interfacing to the touch controller... i'm just not seeing where that would be.

  Look at the second picture posted - - in the foreground, there is a connector on the main board with an arrow pointing to pin 1.  I'm guessing that's where the overlay would plug into.

  We'll see...can't hurt to plug one in and try... right?
