Potentiometer pedal
« on: February 10, 2018, 03:38:27 pm »
Hello:

I have searched the forums unsuccessfully so posting a new thread with my question. I am trying to connect a Happ potentiometer pedal to my MAME cabinet using a U-HID board.

I have soldered three wires to the three tabs on the potentiometer. These have been connected to three pins on the U-HID board
It is my understanding I need to configure the three pins as:
       (a) Analogue input
       (b) Ground
       (c) +5v

Question - does it matter which pin is configured to each of the above (e.g. does the middle tab on the potentiometer have to be ground)

Thank you very much.

Tim

The middle pin is always wiper (analog out). The other two are 5v and gnd: if the pedal works reversed, reverse 5v and gnd.
