Ms Pacman Troubleshooting Help
« on: January 22, 2018, 01:26:18 am »
Hi All!  I hope this is the right forum for this kind of post and let me preface this by saying I am a complete noob when it comes to this kind of stuff (just reading and watching videos to try to learn as much as I can).  I have a Ms Pac Man machine cabinet that I converted to a Jamma 60 in 1 myself about a year or so ago.  It has been working like a champ since I first did the conversion (only had to replace a couple fuses).  However, I recently moved and after powering the machine on for about 5 minutes the monitor went dark.  I noticed a blown 2Amp slo blow fuse and replaced it.  The monitor turned back on but again after 5 min or so it blew.  Since then I replaced the fuse again (planning to do some troubleshooting) but the monitor won't turn on at all now (marquee light and other lights are on and the power to my Jamma is also on (separate power supply from the original).  I pulled out my multimeter and took some readings and from what I can tell I'm not getting power from the original power supply before the fuse that was blowing which is making it so no power goes to the isolation transformer for the Monitor.  At least that is what I think is happening (again apologies I'm a total noob and trying to figure this out).  I took a couple pictures and circled the spots where I seem to be getting no power.  I'm not exactly sure where to go from here (If I have to replace the power supply entirely, something else)?

No power in red circles:

If anyone would be able to assist I would really appreciate it!

Thanks
