Well you do have bad eyesight. It might be time for you to get them checked out again. :o |

Why are you giving me such a hard time man? I just made an observation, it wasn't particularly negative or positive. I said your kid was cute, that was the point of my post and apparently you are so self-conscious that you go way out into left field because I said something about your appearance. I'm sorry if it offended you man, but I'm honestly not sure why it would unless you seriously value my opinion that much. If that's the case I guess I should take that as a compliment. |

Its used as an adjective to define exactly what kind of ---meecrob--- you are. Nothing about his appearance ticks off any of the hipster check boxes, the fedora is a neck-beard accessory. A wool cap is a hipster accessory. He lacks a per-requisite to be a neck-beard (no neck-beard is a dead give-away). That being said I dont think you said what you did with any kind of malice, but if you called me a hipster I'd have likely responded the same way (let's be honest, worse). |
Howard_Casto:
Eh hipsters tend to wear hats as well. He doesn't look bad in the hat at all, it just isn't age appropriate imho. When you are still young and good looking you shouldn't hide your face. Meanwhile my balding head cooks in the sun so I have to apply frikkin sunscreen to the top of my head. At least I'm still good lookin' ;) |

Me give you a hard time? You're the one throwing labels around like it doesn't matter. Malenko nailed it though. Only hipsters don't care about being called a hipster. Everyone else takes offense, and where I'm from if you're calling someone a hipster who is not, you're pretty much looking for a curb-stomping. But what annoys me more is your inaccuracy in trying to label me. Like I said, you don't seem to know what a hipster looks like. I'm not sure what city you're from, but here on the west coast there is a clear distinctive look of what hipsters look like. Wearing a single garment piece does not lump you into a category, that kind of thinking is just ignorant, and probably comes from a place of self-reflection. Some people can work a fedora, some people can't. Fedora's work for my face shape. Also, age appropriate? LOL don't let my boyish good looks fool you, I'll be 38 in 2 weeks. I'm half-asian so I got the fountain-of-youth gene until I hit 60 where I'll start looking like the crypt keeper. A fedora at 38 is completely appropriate. I'm at the age where I don't care for wearing baseball hats that often, and a fedora is a fine choice. |
