ADP Lady Bug restoration: the licensed German cab [finished] |

It was 1981, and Universal made this awesome game called Lady Bug. Here in Europe we did not get the Universal cabinet, but instead a licensed ADP Germany version. Time to restore one! I cannot find much on the original machine, so any information would be cool. This is what it’s supposed to look like: Now compare it to what I’m starting with: Whoops, that is not a pretty situation. It’s got water damage, rust, a busted monitor, power supply… You name it, it’s broken. I am tackling this one to see if I can fix it up with modern parts. This will not be your 100% original restore, but instead more of a rebuild with modern switch mode power supply, scart CRT, and non-original parts, but it will all rock the original game pcb. Wish me luck! After removing all the broken parts and cleaning, she looks like this: |
