XP Boot Screen
« on: May 16, 2017, 04:33:08 am »
Need some help with this guys,

I want to create an animated boot up screen to replace the Windows screen.

I have found the program BootSkin which seems to be a simple way of updating it, however can anyone who has done a animated boot up help?

I can redraw the gif to any size (in 16 colours) just need to know what sizes and how to make it work in the bootup.

This is the logo I want to use...

in previous versins of windows you could just edit a bmp and boom done.

but with XP though, you have to edit the NTOSkrnl.exe file using something like "resource hacker" you may be able to get your boot logo to do what you want with that...

there are some programs that can do it, but I don't know if it will do what you want. (animation)

bootskins is the name of one of them.

If I remember right only bar can be animated, logo can't.

In windows 7 You can edit boot flag and replace it with custom animation.
