I however am willing to go anywhere soon but this summer everyone will have to go to FUNSPOT.... I have a summer cottage up there we can make it a weekend thing if you don't mind sleeping bags as it's only 2 small bedrooms.

I have to admit it, I picked Dave and Busters. It's 10 minutes from my house, how could I not! On the less selfish side it does have all the amenities we seek. Good food, good bar, plenty of room and tons of (almost all non-classic) games.

I voted for FunSpot also. It's heaven on earth! Where else can you go back in time??

I have some pictures of inside Funspot from my last visit there, they do not do the place justice. For instance, they play constant 80s music. They also have fixed the Robotron joysticks.

I knwo I was the one who originally suggested Jillians, but I don't remember any classic games there at all.

Really, though, I'm up for anywhere. FunSpot definitely looks cool!

I've been to jillian's before so I'd rather try either NH or RI. I have a friend in RI so heading down there is no problem for me.
Although taking a trip to NH on my motorcycle in the summer would be even better.

Funspot definately. Place is great (and cheap)...and you can always find token coupons at regional gas stations/ grocery stores to save big coin- first round at the the broken antler is on me!

There are FunSpot coupons available on their website for some serious discounts on tokens. If you spend $20 on tokens then you get something like 120 tokens. Then with the coupon on their site you can get another 50 tokens on top of that. You can play all day (unless you keep playing Beach Head 2000 all day)

Okay, now that the easy part is over with, we get to figure out what time and day works best for everyone

Weekends will probably work best for most of us, with during the day (early afternoon to early evening) being the better times for people with families.

I'm busy this weekend and next though... A 2-3 week advanced notice would be ideal. With V-day coming up (...you *did* get her a gift, didn't you?) soon though, I doubt many of the 'commited' folk will be able to attend that day.

To get the ball rolling, I suggest the weekend of 2/28-2/29?

I can't take it anymore...... . I need FUNSPOT soon.

On valentines day we went to salisbury beach to play some games, well we got there and the upstairs was closed this of course is where most of the older games are, there are only a few on the first floor.

Well my son is on school vacation so I thought we would head up to FUNSPOT on Friday Feb 20th .

Any one intresteded in meeting there bring the family if you want I am.

Hehe...not so far off now....

As it is now approaching mid-March, I just thought I'd see if a more concrete commitment date is in the works. I've been saving up my quarters!!

Not sure if I want to compete in a tournament tho - even with MAME I'm rusty as hell at most of the games I used to be a winner at!

THERE ARE NO MORE VIDEO GAMES AT JILLIANS IN BOSTON!!

I was just there on Valentine's Day. They took out ALL of the video games and replaced them with pool tables. They weren't making enough revenue, and most of them were huge simulators anyways. It's 18+ until 8:00PM, at which point you must be 21+ to enter.

Oh, man, that's terrible!

I was in Jillians here in Albany, NY a few weeks ago. It was a Saturday night and all the bars were PACKED. My friends and I went to Jillians and headed down to the arcade section and there was nobody down there except a bar tender and lots of video games. It was great! However, now I'm realizing that it might not be such a good sign for the future of that arcade.

The weekend of may 29th is memorial day. The 31st is the observed day for the holiday. I'm just guessing but it will probably be pretty busy that weekend since it's a holiday weekend.

Hey If you want you can ride up with mr curmdegeon and myself and you can stay at my summer cottage as well if you'd like. It's small 2 br. cottage but have a pullout couch or air mattress you can sleep on. I am thinking about going up Friday night and staying till Sunday afternoon

For those of you who don't know the area there are also 2 more arcades within 1 mile of Funspot. They are both at Weirs Beach ...1 is the Pier Arcade ? It's big and is mostly newer games, and the other is across the street it's called the Half Moon and has some old pinballs and one of those old shooting rifle games where you shoot at things and it make things move or make sounds.

Also the last few summers they had Firworks on Friday Night,I'm not sure if they will be doing it this year but I will be looking into it as I will be opening my summer cottage with in the next few weekends.

Also are you guys up for some grilling at my place?

It will only save us money rather than eating takeout ...then we can spend more money on more important things like........ beer, video games, beer, women, beer and more beer.

Hey if your intereted please post, also let us know if your bringing wife,girlfriend, kids....just curious because I don't want to bring my wife and son if no one else is.

I have actually started a friendship ( I think?) with mr curmudgeon, he live close to me and we have been working on getting our machines up and running he is the computer wiz living in an apartment with no place to actually build the mame cab and I am a homowner hack who collects..LOL woodworking tools. I think you know what I mean I am the type of guy who looks for an excuse to buy a new power tool. So we will be building are machines here at my house.

I have talked with recycled past and hopefully he and I will get together soon ,so he can give me some pointers. He has his machine already done,and he also lives in the next town over. I probably drive right by his house on the way to
mr. curmudgeon, because his town is the one that separates my town and mr. curmudgeon

I hopw you can find someway to get there...There is a bus terminal in Concord NH .Hey I'll pick you up there if you can make it.

Teknique...Across from Christmas Island ..I live at Resort on the Bay, it's in Pagus Bay. I have some friends over in alton bay. So when you coming jet skiing with me ? I can only ride one at a time and I have 2 and my brother has 3/4

I am the leader (and only member) of a Jetski gang on Winni. called the Baby Shoguns. I am often up by the Weirs (and occassionally in Paugus Bay- usually for Naswa or to go to BK or Lillikolani's (closed) just for the cool factor of docking there. I have a 98' Kawi 1100stx so Ill be on the look out for ya.

Would be interested in riding a 3/4 jetski though :p

Anyway, your ALOT closer to Funspot so would be a good place for a central meeting spot- Id be down for a BBQ.

I have two96 polaris slt (3 seaters), however I think I confused you about my brother he has 3 or 4 diffrent jetskis....He's a youngin' and I can't keep up with his newest toys, man he might even have 5 by now..LOL

My friend Steve is the first boat house on the left after the naswa blue white cabin cruiser (forget the brand)

I love lili's for a good coffee after a great early morning ski. Well just to let you know they are opening back up this year . Not sure but I heard something about a sick relative in florida was the reason for not opening last summer.Hey do you remember when wendy's was right beside BK they had docks too.
