Lowboy Cabaret - Dig Dug Themed Artwork

I am looking for any criticism on my Dig Dug themed project.
On a lark I have deviated from the standard control panel artwork - mostly to let myself get familiar with Inkscape, but please let me know if I have committed heresy.

I have struggled with the colors as it is quite different on all images that I have seen.

Also,
I know the hose isn't complete. It is the single worst item to tweak when I move other objects around so I will finish that off when I am happy it is done.
