Those 90s video game magazines, man. I thought they were hot stuff back then and they just make me cringe now. One particular offender was Flux (which Wiki informs me didn't last very long). Every now and then I come across one (EGM, GamePro, whatever) and those things are better left in the landfill. |

It's kind of charming how they tried so hard and failed so bad in many respects. Nintendo Power always cracked me up with their "reviews". Yeah you are going to give a game made/published by the company you work for a bad review. Even at 7 I was wise to that. |

I still have all my old Nintendo Powers (all the way back to Issue 1 which is in rather rough shape). It was incredibly corny (even at 12 I realized that) but so much useful info. I wonder if that kid who won the Bill & Ted phone booth they offered still has it. |

It amazes me how games were marketed. |
