Yooka laylee! I've been watching this since the beginning of playtonic games. (Former rare guys) not sure if it was at E3 but I saw the E3 titled trailer they finally released so I assume it was. And God of War. Just saw the new teaser yesterday. It looks great. Another reason I should finally get a ps4. |
Speed Racer:
I'm looking forward to Forza Horizon 3. As good as the main series is, I just find the less serious open world Horizon to be more fun. Might give Dead Rising 4 a look. Didn't like the first 2 games but 3 was decent for a new console launch title. I think Watch Dogs 2 will right some of the wrongs of the first game (which was far from a bad game itself. Bland story and average driving aside). Will keep an eye on Dishonored 2. I really liked how the powers system let you play the game in different ways. I am a little wary of all the "open world action" genre games becoming a little stale... Just so many of them coming out. At least there is no Assassins Creed to be disappointed by this year >:D |

Watch Dogs was fun despite it's flaws. Where it really clicked for me was towards the end of the game where you have to infiltrate this redneck compound and kill a few security cameras. The game wanted you to use stealth but since it doesn't have set fail events like the Assassin's Creed series, I found a better way.... just get caught, run to finish the objective anyway and then drive off in the charger parked outside, with the whole compound chasing you through the woods for miles like an episode of the Dukes of Hazzard. It's one of those games where you very much have to make your own fun. I can imagine it being horrible for those that followed the missions by the numbers. I never played DR3 because I hated the first two so bad. Is it a big departure or something? |
Speed Racer:
DR3 isn't a massive departure from previous games... It's a bigger more open world with much larger hordes of zombies. I find it more fun because surviving/killing the hordes is easier than the other games, which is what I found a bit tedious. In DR3 you also build combo weapons and vehicles from all the junk lying around - a game mechanic that works well. |
Howard_Casto:
I couldn't stand the series due to the stupid time-based mechanic and the fact that the bosses were stupidly hard. Some of that would have to be changed before I gave it another try. |
