Is there a particular brand/color that's been a good match?

it's going to be tough because the finish on the cabinet is patterned with metalic. any additional paint is going to stick out like a sore thumb if you aren't careful.

I would almost strip the cabinet and repaint it.

I've used "duplicolor high performance wheel coating"  in the past to paint jukebox cabinets. it's made to paint wheels and plastic wheel covers... it sticks to the plastic/existing paint really well. it's not an exact color match (a little lighter), but having everything the same color with the same even "texture" will go miles. i'm not 100% sure they have that product anymore (now seems to be a 2 step color/clear coat )

so fill/sand your holes and spray the whole works.

Figured out the RAM issue.  Wrong damn speed.  The 2011 has PC3200 and for some reason the kit I had for the other on had PC2700.  Stupid error.
