Howard_Casto:
So help me out on this so I can understand what is going on.  I know that a method to resurrect cps2 suicide boards has been around for years.  I also know that mame has somehow been able to decrypt these roms for years.  So what exactly did they figure out?  I thought the security had to have long since been figured out due to the two previously mentioned things.

Slippyblade:
The post specifically says "without hardware modification".  So I'm assuming that MAME and the de-suicide stuff was a hack and not actual decryption.
