While it would be wrong for anyone to speak ill of others based on what they read off internet, and i in no way condone factless (and faceless) chr$ assassinations. It would be foolish sending money to ANY site or online store with no phone number, e-mail, or fixed business address. Given that and lack of updates to their site in over one year, and no response from store owner, it would reasonable to say that Groovy Game Gear must have closed their doors. I can not see WHY someone would toss their money into black hole and hope to get something in return. If this is error, then RandyT should maybe answer his form mail.
This is an odd and baseless post, that I feel foolish in defending against, but hey, it's the internet and one has to do these things. This user, who apparently signed up just to post this anonymous smear, claims not to "condone factless (and faceless) chr$ assassinations", yet proceeds to do just that. I'd like to think that one of our competitors wouldn't take part in such an underhanded tactic as this, but one never knows. Desperation can sometimes be a powerful motivator.
The business "snail mail" address for contact is posted plainly on our site, and there are numerous way to contact me, including through this forum (although messages here are sometimes not replied to as quickly.) We
do answer our form mail, sometimes even well after business hours. No form of communication is 100% reliable. Mail servers get overloaded and things do get lost from time to time, overzealous SPAM blockers, etc..., and yes, form mail and our responses to them, still go through those gates. No sane person with any knowledge of potential email address abuse, openly posts email addresses on the internet for spambots to cull.
I'm active on this site, as confirmed by the thousands of posts I've made here, many of which I'd like to believe have helped people with their projects. The last news update on our site was prior to the holidays, and dealing with high order volumes, from actual customers, unfortunately doesn't make for timely updates. We do the best we can in that regard, but servicing our paying customers is where we have to place our priorities. If we were ever to close our doors (not likely any time in the foreseeable future) the fine folks here would be the first to know, and the site would obviously no longer be accessible.
We've been providing service to this community for 13 years, which is far longer than 99% of other vendors, and we are still here while others have vanished. The "tossing their money into black hole and hope to get something in return" comment is simply ludicrous. The tens of thousands of happy GroovyGameGear.com customers and members of our community know better.
