Need help on a Rowe CD-100e
« on: January 22, 2016, 07:35:47 pm »
The problem started after Christmas unit worked perfect for last 3 years except for a ccc battery change.  Changed it out the first time with a solder pins but decided after Christmas when it went bad to you the clip type.

There were no problems with the unit up in till I but on the new battery.  Now my CCC has the Board error and System error led on all the time or sometimes blinking at the same rate as the Rowelink led.   The CD also has the Board error on blinking,  The CD only gets power when the leds blinks on the CCC causing it to jump while loading but will not play.  The display no longer works and nether does the cd cover tray in normal or service mode.

I do have both manuals and have gone through the board and see no problems and re soldered the plug pins.  All leds are on the power board and power is there.  Do not know were to go next.

May be a connection problem.  My suggestion would be to first re-seat all the cable connections going to the CCC.  be sure that all cables are connected and going to the right spot on the CCC.

Has already check this several times can find no where cable is in the wrong place or not plugged in good.  Is the one cable that could cause all these problems.

I have some V4.3 Eproms.  I'll send you a message and get your shipping info.
