Joystick rubber centering grommet
« on: January 09, 2004, 04:01:15 pm »
Is there any place to buy the rubber centering grommet for older joysticks?

Do you think it would be worth restoring some older leaf switch joysticks to use in a new cab?  If not I'll just put up some new Happs I guess.

I have seen them often on ebay,  no idea if they are a good deal or not.

Ms. Pac-Man/Pac-Man joystick centering grommet

Replacing this part will make your original joystick function as if new!
This part will also work in these games: Pac series games, Bosconian, Wizard of Wor, Rally X, Burger Time, Gorf cocktail, Timber, Tapper, Galaga 3/Gaplus, Solar Fox and others...

I've bought stuff from Steve before.  His prices might be a LITTLE high, but he's real fast with shipping and takes CCs.

After looking at the price for the grommet i dont think that $19 is really that expesive for making your joystick feel like NEW.
If you think about it, after replacing the grommet, that baby should last you a good long number of years. I doubt that it will be used by you as much as it might be in an actual arcade or bowling alley.  Unless your a total arcade junkie  like me lol.

good luck :)
