Maybe they were trying to do some dramatic story tell, but to me I saw a person that wasn't interested in the animation unless it was funded by someone else.

And another thing!

Why in the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- are the blu-ray and shirt and hat and pins priced so high?  I'd wear the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- out of those if they were realistically priced.

Oh well.  I'd like to happen but their ego is too large, their doubt and speculation is too much that they wouldn't take the risk when the retro scene has been so huge and almost passed them by.  I think they missed their window.

Its easy to be critical behind a keyboard, but I'm not the one asking for money

I was thinking the same thing actually. I enjoy Bluth's movies, but I heard he's a bit...difficult. A couple of my school instructors worked with him and had some interesting stories to tell. I would have thought for sure that there would have been a copy of the video game in some form as part of the KS as well, but didn't see any mention of it.

Man.... a few years ago (5? 10?) I randomly flipped on Letterman and Don Bluth came on to discuss some random crap like basketball.  They spent 90% of their time yakking about Dragon's Lair.  That guy has never moved on.

BadMouth:
I wonder how many backers think they're getting a blu ray copy of the movie. (you get a copy of the game)

To reiterate what paigeoliver said, they're raising $550,000 to pitch a $70 million dollar movie.
The pitch could get funded and then the movie get turned down.
yotsuya:
I'd throw in $50 for a completed project Blu-ray, but to fund the actual pitch, with no guarantee that it'll get made? I'm good, thanks.
paigeoliver:
And, lets not forget there is about a 50 percent chance that Don Bluth would die somewhere between now and the movie getting done.
