We had to put one of our dogs to sleep on July 3rd, he was a great little rescue dog we had since 2002.   And my Dad spent all last week in the hospital with congestive heart failure... been a pretty ---smurfy--- summer.

Sorry to read that, CCM.

I'm starting ton get work-related emails about things that are no longer my responsibility. Yes, the Summer of Chuff 2015 is over for me next Monday.

Where I worked previously, people would send me an email in the middle of the afternoon asking me to take care of some annoying thing that wasn't my responsibility.
Then they'd leave the building right after hitting send so I couldn't argue with them.  I don't like rewarding that kind of behavior, but my sense of responsibility always made a sucker out of me.  I never could just let things go to ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- for the sake of teaching one person a lesson.

Yeah, I recently switch jobs and the old one still won't let go.  Now they want me to interview replacements, which puts me in a weird situation.  Why did I quit?  They were broke and about to lay people off.  I knew they couldn't make payroll.  The twice a month threat to make me part time had escalated to twice a week.

Those interviews ought to be very interesting unless they bring in candidates that are desperate for paycheck and don't ask questions.

All that being said, there are a few individuals that are diverted straight to voice mail or safely tucked away in a dusty mailbox folder.  Being free of their clutches is a big relief.  Highly recommended.

Yes it definitley does suck.  My wife and I had a rescue for a year but had to put her down because of seizures.  It's hard but they way I see it is you gave your dog 13 years that he may not have had if not for you and your family.

I'm also sorry to hear about your father.  It's hard to see someone in your family have to go through that.  I have to spend a lot of time in the hospital due to my wife so I understand.  Stay strong for yourself and those around you.
