P360s & 5 Volt Supply

My P360s should arrive soon, and I'm eager to get them up and running.

I've had a look though this forum for ideas on the 5 volt supply.

Some people are using the IPAC, and some the PC power supply (chopping off a molex connector).

Are both suitable solutions? I'm a bit daft when it comes to current ratings.

My dual P360's are hooked up to my IPAC with no problems.

Either should work without a problem.   The red wire is the 5 Volt on the PC molex connector.

I took a second power supply out of an old computer.

Take the 5 volts off any of the 4 pin moles.

All my aux power is off the second power supply. So far no problems with it. That keeps the supply for the PC steady no matter what else is happening. I worried more about it when the monitor is rotating than the draw from the P360's...

The P360 should share a common ground with the IPAC.  Also if you use a transformer, I would be careful to insure the voltage is very close to the IPAC.  Many 5V transformers can fluctuate.  

Furthermore, the P360's outputs are normally high at 5V until the stick is moved.  This means that 5 volts is normally flowing from the P360 into the IPAC on the Up, Down, Left and Right pins.

Does anyone know how much tolerance the IPAC has for voltage fluctuations on its inputs?
