Not terrible mind you, but it seems like a downgrade compared to the last game. Where MK9 rehashes MK1-UMK3 (the good games) MKX rehashes MK4 and the Mythologies games (the crappy games). Strangely the models actually look worse due to an odd decision to make the characters' skin look like plastic. It's like they ran out of time to texture the models properly or something. |

Way too much focus on Cassie's group (guess they are trying to eventually change the entire roster?) and man do I ever hate Shinnok and Clown Chi. Scorpion gets the "do something totally stupid for sake of plot" award. I do like the new implementation of brutalities but there's a ton of people I'd like to play as that I cant. Heartbreaking to fight against Baraka in story mode but not be able to play as him. Was really hoping they'd bring back Motor-Kombat as well. Since Johnny Cage's "real name" is John Carlton, shouldn't Cassie Cage be Cassie Carlton? |
