Did you do something in the setting os the win book?

BTY, I was going to try 0.37b5 as I have a rom set for mame4 all. I'll post back on how it goes for me.

No, I didn't do anything special with the winbook.  Also, I am not using a frontend, just the mame exe.

Maybe the Rom(s) you are using are not correct for the version of mame that you're using?

I wonder how it does as an HTPC? Is there stuttering when playing videos at higher resolutions?

I was just reading on the winbook forums that it works fine, except that the hdmi does NOT output 5.1.  I have not tried it myself so ymmv.  I do however like it enough that I just bought a second one, 8" this time with 2gig ram and 32gig storage, to use as a nightstand surfing device.

How'd that run?
I've found older versions of advancedmame in the .70's work even on the really old pentium 3's.
