No, I didn't do anything special with the winbook. Also, I am not using a frontend, just the mame exe. Maybe the Rom(s) you are using are not correct for the version of mame that you're using? |

I wonder how it does as an HTPC? Is there stuttering when playing videos at higher resolutions? |

I was just reading on the winbook forums that it works fine, except that the hdmi does NOT output 5.1. I have not tried it myself so ymmv. I do however like it enough that I just bought a second one, 8" this time with 2gig ram and 32gig storage, to use as a nightstand surfing device. |

I've found older versions of advancedmame in the .70's work even on the really old pentium 3's. |
